The Ahrens apiary focuses on the production of heather honey, pressed honey and disc honey. Due to our location on the edge of the South Heath, it is obvious that we are primarily interested in the production of delicious heather honey. In our over 100-year tradition, my grandfather started beekeeping around 1910. The beekeeping was optimally designed for the production of heather honey thanks to the swarm mode of operation. Our hiking spots for the delicious heather honey are at Unterlüß, Schmarbeck and Munster. There is the Erikaheide here and there and the Besenheide. Only the honey from the heather has the typical aromatic, strong taste of heather honey.
